The World Corporate Golf Challenge Turkey 2017, where OPET has assumed the main sponsorship, was held as hosted by Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort. The Form Laser Team that won the Tournament has been entitled to participate in the WCGC 2017 World Final that will be organized in Cascais, Portugal.
The OPET World Corporate Golf Challenge – WCGC, which is known as the inter-company golf tournament with the largest participation in the world, was held during March 31 – April 2, 2017 at the National and Carya courses, as hosted by Antalya Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort. In the tournament, where OPET Board of Directors’ Founder Chairman Fikret Öztürk and OPET General Manager Cüneyt Ağca were also among the audience, the senior managers of leading companies in Turkey competed vehemently on the course.
Arzu Narin and Oya Dağlı couple, competing on behalf of the Form Laser team, ranked first in the tournament with 146 points in total and was entitled to participate in the WCGC 2017 World Final that will be organized in Cascais, Portugal. In the tournament, where OPET had assumed the main sponsorship and 30 participating companies were represented by teams of two members, the Bodrum Genie team formed by Nida Cireli and Sidar Yalçınkaya ranked second with 138 points, while the Merit Royal team represented by Emrah Şimşek and Hüseyin Alevkayalı came in third with total 137 points.
The team, winning the Turkey leg of the World Corporate Golf Challenge that has brought 1 million golfers together since 1993, will represent Turkey at the WCGC World Final that will be organized in Cascais, Portugal during the last week of June, with the participation of the finalist companies from almost 50 countries.
OPET General Manager Cüneyt Ağca, expressing their happiness to support the Turkey leg of the World Corporate Golf Challenge tournaments organized in 40 countries in his speech at the award ceremony, said, “The winning teams of national tournaments acquire an unmatched experience and business relations opportunity by participating in the world final as representing their countries.
