The Petroleum Istanbul Fair, which is one of the largest and most visited fairs of the world in its field, has started with the participation of the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Dönmez. The Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Dönmez and the Chairman of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) Mustafa Yılmaz have visited the joint stand of OPET, which is the customer satisfaction leader of the fuel distribution sector, and Tüpraş, which is the largest industrial enterprise of Turkey, and received information from the authorized officers.
Istanbul, March 28, 2019 – Koç Energy Group companies Aygaz, OPET and TÜPRAŞ were at the Petroleum Istanbul 2019 – 14th International Petroleum, LPG, Lubricants Equipment and Technologies Fair organized at the Beylikdüzü TUYAP Fair and Congress Center. Koç Energy Group stand attracted the attention of the sector representatives, dealers and dealer candidates and fair visitors. The Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Dönmez and the Chairman of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) received information from the authorized officers during the visits they made to fair booths after the opening ceremony. The Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Dönmez also examined the vehicle named “monster”, which was produced by Aygaz to show that autogas is a high octane fuel, and received information about the specifications of LPG and the vehicle.
Having met with the authorized officers of Tüpraş, which is the largest industrial Corporation of Turkey and the 7th largest refinery of Europe, Minister Dönmez also received information about the products and services by closely examining the Ultramarket concept of Opet, one of the leader brands of the fuel distribution sector.
Koç Energy Group brands take part in the Petroleum Istanbul Fair in order to observe the developments in the national and international arena, and to share their works with the visitors and participants. This fair, which brings the public and private institutions and organizations related to energy together, the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and the EMRA being in the first place, is considered to be an important cooperation platform for the national, regional and international energy companies. The Petroleum Istanbul Fair, main theme of which is enlarged this year as it will include LPG, lubricants and equipment along with auto LNG, auto CNG, electrical car charger stations and station markets, will continue in Tüyap until March 30.
"Fatih Dönmez received information during the visit about the monster vehicle that Aygaz manufactured in order to increase the recognition of superior specifications of autogas. Aygaz aims at attracting attention to the fact that autogas is a high octane fuel affecting the motor performance and productivity positively with the “monster” vehicle being approximately 6-meter length, 3.5-meter width and 3.3-meter height, and wants to change the perception in this regard.
