WITH WOMEN'S POWER PROJECT, AT LEAST TWO WOMEN EMPLOYEES AT EACH OPET STATION
The new social responsibility project 'Women Power', aiming the employment for women (which is one of the most important issues on the agenda of Turkey), initiated by OPET, which is the innovative and pioneering institution in the fuel sector, continues. In cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and OPET, a project to increase women's employment at OPET stations was prepared. Within the scope of this project, OPET reviews the human resources processes at its stations and aims to have at least two women employees in each station.
OPET, which works with the vision of contributing to education, health, environment and historical values and contributing to a more conscious society, has launched the Women's Power project in order to change the social perception and to offer equal opportunities for women in working life. In the recruitment processes of this project, OPET dealers will benefit from İŞKUR employment incentives and special education and professional development programs will be created. OPET operates with more than 1,500 gas stations in Turkey. With this project, which will be carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, OPET aims to eliminate the occupational gender discrimination in fuel stations and increase the number of female employees. Within the scope of this project, OPET aims to have at least two women working in each station by reviewing the human resources processes at the gas stations. OPET aims to offer women the opportunity to work in various positions such as market sales officer, station manager, shift supervisor and accounting staff. In all OPET stations, which are spread across Turkey, at the project beginning there were 1541 female employees. With Women's Power Project, a total of 3500 female employees are planned to be employed by 2020, by employing at least two women employees at each OPET Station.
