OPET commercials featuring Arda Turan now meet Turkey

The first advertising film featuring Arda Turan, player of National Team A and the pride of Turkish football in Barcelona, is soon coming out for OPET’s 2016 corporate image advertising campaign. The commercial will be displayed for a month and will convey OPET’s energy to the spectators with Arda Turan’s sympathetic behaviors.

In the first commercial, part of which was shot in Barcelona, the star player’s longing for his country and OPET’s smiling and high-quality service is narrated in an emotional manner. In the commercial entitled ‘A Day in Barcelona’, the star player travels in his car and sees an “OPET” station in Barcelona. Entering the station, Arda Turan becomes both surprised and happy with OPET’s smiling staff, sincere atmosphere, quality of services and products and the ‘Turkish Hospitality” brought to the station. The next day, the star player goes to OPET and encounters a surprise which he does not expect. The commercial film also emphasizes the "Clean Toilet Campaign”, the longest social responsibility of Turkey carried out by OPET for 16 years.

The film directed by Bahadır Karataş was shot in 3 days and its montage was completed in about a month. After a preparation process of 1.5 month, the scenes in Barcelona were shot with a team of 60 people at Plaza de Palau, Plaza Espanya and Plaza Colon, the most beautiful streets and squares of the city. Although the abandoned fuel station was outside the city, the star player’s fans did not leave him alone at the shooting area. While Arda Turan attracted sympathy with his acting skills and friendly attitudes, the 90-year-old Mequiades Iniesta playing “Grandfather” character, who was selected after a long actor search, attended the shooting from Madrid.

The second commercial featuring Arda Turan, entitled “The Missed Bus” which will be displayed in May, will contain supporting messages of OPET, the Official Fuel Supplier of the National Teams of the Turkish Football Federation, for the National Team in its path to the European Cup.
