"Festival cleaning" in all Opets in Turkey

The sector leader in customer satisfaction, Opet prepares for the vacation and festival density on the roads...

As being the sectoral leader in customer satisfaction, OPET puts "OPET Clean Toilet Trucks" into use in order to reinforce perfect hygiene and cleaning on the occasion of the traffic jam to occur in the highways due to holiday and festival. In the Clean Toilet Tour, not only the toilets at around 180 gas stations will undergo detailed hygienic cleaning, but also brochures and cleaning kits drawing attention to 'cleaning and hygiene' will also be distributed for a period of 3 months.

 

Having accomplished the longest-termed social responsibility project Turkey-wide, OPET sets "OPET Clean Toilet Trucks" off to touring Turkey in order to offer solution to the intensive use to occur in OPET gas stations due to the summer holiday and festival travels. Trucks to be set off touring towards two opposite routes will cover a distance approximately of 10 thousand kilometers in 3 months, and will stop by 180 gas stations in 30 cities. Not only they will supply materials to the gas stations in need, these fully equipped trucks will also distribute the brochures and cleaning kits having been prepared for drawing attention towards 'cleaning and hygiene' Turkey-wide.

 

Nurten Öztürk, a Founding Member of the Board of Directors of OPET, which is the mastermind of the Clean Toilet Campaign, indicated that, they reached, and provided hygiene training to 8 million people in 14 years within the scope of the project, and further said that: "We are aware of the fact that, this campaign of ours is one of the main factors causing us elected as the 'Brand with the Highest Customer Satisfaction' for 9 years in a row. Toilets consist one of the civilization indicators of a country. This campaign we launched 14 years ago is our struggle for creating a clean and healthy society. Not only implementing the Clean Toilet campaign in our own gas stations, we have toured 72 cities, covering a distance of 6 million kilometers. We gave seminars to our citizens, teachers and students in the villages and towns. The fact that the standards introduced to the public toilets by the collaboration of OPET and TSE have been enforced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs to all toilets, including those of the workplaces and restaurants confirms OPET's success in this issue. Dimensions of our campaign vary and expand ever-increasingly. Now our trucks have been set off for the purpose of avoiding any problem likely to occur in the already clean toilets of ours due to intensive use of our customers in the festival to come. We may also call this implementation of ours as the 'Festival Cleaning in OPETs'. We will go on expanding our project for the sake of a healthier future".

 

OPET, within the scope of its Clean Toilet Campaign, previously launched "My Clean School" in all the schools İstanbul-wide. Having another project respectively adopted to TCDD (Turkish State Railways) under the title of "Cleaning on the Rails", all TCDD personnel were undergone respective training, while cleaning and hygiene has thereby been caused to be expanded in the trains, railway terminals and stations. "Drinkable Water, Accessible Toilet" campaign was launched in collaboration with Malatya Directorate of National Education and a total of 4000 teachers, and vast number of students in the city of Malatya were undergone trainings within the scope of the Clean Toilet Campaign. During the h1n1 Influenza a epidemic, the project was turned into a project named "Loving is Protecting", and all OPET gas stations and, the schools giving education were put under protection for 90 days by means of the Bioshield application, which avoids the reproduction and infection of the microbes.

 

A social responsibility project was carried out in terms of clean toilet, hygiene, and economical water utilization in collaboration with Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality and Director-General of SASKİ, which runs the water and sewage services. Having the Project named 'Foamed Hands, Happy Faces' launched in collaboration with Silivri Directorate of National Education, Silivri Municipality, and Silivri Foundation for the Improvement and Reinforcement of Educational Services, it was thereby planned to have all teachers serving in the district, and all personnel serving in the District Directorate of National Education undergo 'cleaning and hygiene' training. Finally, within the scope of the "Clean School, Healthier Future" Project, there are ongoing 'cleaning and hygiene' trainings being provided to all teachers, school managers, assisted services personnel serving, and to all students studying within the borders of Gaziantep within the framework of the respectively predetermined programs.
