Established in 1992, OPET Petrolcülük A.Ş. is engaged in retail sale, commercial and industrial fuels, mineral oils and transportation of fuels.
In 2002, the Koç Holding Energy Group became a 50% shareholder in OPET. Since its inception, OPET has been heavily investing in infrastructure. Its storage capacity (terminals) gives OPET a significant competitive edge, and with the launch of the Marmara Ereğlisi Terminal, this capacity has reached 845,930 cubic meters.
Opet continuously increases its market share and, to this end, is supported by the strength of its cooperation with the other members in the Koç Group. The company seeks to deploy this strength by becoming the first choice of Turkish consumers. In moving toward this goal, OPET’s efforts are based on ensuring customer satisfaction through improved quality while protecting the environment and strictly complying with all applicable laws and regulations.
With its robust infrastructure and realistic vision, and its faith in Turkey, OPET has become the fastest and most steadily growing oil company of the last decade.
OPET earned an ISO 9001:2000 quality certificate in 2004.
OPET has broken new ground since its inception; it was the first company to import 98-octane unleaded gasoline, and it introduced Ultra Euro Diesel to its Turkish customers before the product was used by European consumers.
OPET has also entered the Turkish marine fuels market with the company TBS Denizcilik, an enterprise established in partnership with OW Bunker.
OPET Mineral Oils, which was incorporated into the OPET organization in May 2007, is engaged in the production and sale of mineral oils at its factories in İzmir’s Işıkkent and Çiğli. Holder of an Integrated Quality Systems Certificate, OPET Mineral Oils exports to twenty countries, most of them in the Middle East and the Balkans.
With its new products and services, its expanding network of stations and its support of social initiatives, OPET is clearly unique.
